I saw my brother’s dog Teddy in Minnesota last week. Teddy has a cute summer haircut.

His favorite toy is a little soccer ball.

Lemurs

Here are the lemurs from the Oakland Zoo.

I think they are like a cross between a cat and a monkey. Here you can see one naughty lemur on the left, scaling the wall:

The giraffes and the elephants live together at the Oakland Zoo.

Flying Foxes

These bats were the coolest thing we saw at the Oakland Zoo yesterday. Unfortunately they were behind glass and fences so the photos are not great.

The bats were really big! The body is about the size of a small cat, and the wings were over three feet across. Can you imagine seeing that fly around?

They really looked dracula-like when they wrapped their wings around themselves. Luckily they are not carnivores, they only eat fruit.

Cute Valencia Dog

This adorable dog was near Valencia street last night.

She was very friendly, anytime someone showed an interest in her, she would sit up on her hind legs, very cute.

Honeymoon Monkey

I am going to post some of our animal related honeymoon pictures. Even though this is from 2 years ago, I didn’t have my blog then, so I’m going to use them to fill in when I don’t have an exciting daily animal viewing.

So, this is a naughty Capuchin monkey in Costa Rica. These photos were taken from the balcony of our room.

He jumped from the roof onto a low branch, right next to a woman who worked at the hotel, who was very startled! I love how their tails make a little spiral.

Gaggle of Geese

I just went to walk around Lake Merritt, and I saw a lot of goslings there. I spotted a big group of them resting near the shore.

Then there must have been some goose signal that I didn’t hear. They all got up at the same time and walked up towards the grass.

Then on to some nice grazing on the grass.

I saw this petite kitty through the fence in the neighbor’s yard.

I’ve seen her before, she’s very sweet and cute. I don’t know exactly where she lives though.
